Folded Brocade Hill
Folded
Brocade Hill lies in the Northeast of Guilin, facing the Li
River. It is famous for its queer-looking rocks. Folded Brocade
Hill covers an area of approximately 2 sq km. It consists of
Yueshan Hill, Look-on-All-Direction Hill, Crane Peak and Bright
Moon Peak. Bright Moon Peak is the highest where you will get
a bird's-eye view of the whole city. Spanning the Guilin City,
the Brocade Hill is very picturesque and easy to climb, and
has become a hot scenic spot among the hills in Guilin. There
are a lot of tourist attractions in the hill, such as the Folded
Brocade Pavilion, the Yuyue Pavilion, the Chengren Tablet of
Masters Qu and Zhang, the Yangzhi Hall, the Wind Cave, the Brocade
Building, the Wangjiang Pavilion and the Nayun Pavilion, etc.
Li River
Li River is the soul of Guilin scenery. It is the river of poems andpaintings. The region covers 83-km karst area with clear, exotic, ingenious and changing characteristics. Cruising down the Li River, people can enjoy the fabulous sceneries, such as "Fascinating Views of Three Hills", "Nine Horses in Picture Hill", "Places of Interest in Xingping" and "Green-Lotus World" etc. It is indeed a wonderful experience, enjoyment and exploration.
Elephant Trunk Hill (Xiangbi Hill)
Elephant Trunk Hill Located at the confluence of the Taohua (Peach Blossom) River and the Li River, this Hill is too famous to be missed. The Moon-over-Water Cave and the Moon-through-Hill Cave make up the unique Li River Twin Moons, with one moon over the water and the other in the sky.
Reed Flute Cave
Reed Flute Cave is 5 km (3miles) from downtown in northwest suburb of Guilin. Here the scenery is focused on caves, and their rural setting. Within the cave there are enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stele, stone curtains and stone flowers. This wonderland is referred to as Nature's Museum of Art. From as early as the Tang Dynasty, this cave has attracted tourists many of whom have left murals, of which seventy-seven are well preserved.
 Bear and Tiger Park
Bear and Tiger Park is the largest wild animal centre. Four breeds of tigers facing extinction can be seen there. Over three hundred tigers, four hundred bears and a hundred lions will give you a fresh idea of the survival needs of such wild animals. Also there are animal performances, which will surely excite kids and adults alike.
Fubo Hill The beautiful Fubo Hill is 120 meters long, 60 meters wide and 213 meters high; in the northeast of the city, it is well known as the Wonderland on Wave with its exquisite peak rising high and its foot half in water and half on land. The east of the cave curbs the river stream, causing the formation of a deep pool, so the hill is named Fubo Hill (Wave-Curbing Hill). A tale has it that Ma Yuan who was called General Fubo from the Han Dynasty had once passed by Guilin on a southern expedition. He poured all the pearls he carried into the river, so the hill was named after him in his memory.
Pagoda Hill
Pagoda
Hill is located in the southern suburb of Guilin. It's named
after the seven-story, hexagonal solid pagoda, which was built
during the Tang Dynasty. It is also known as Worship Hill because
of its unique shape. Small as it is, the hill is attractive
for its exquisite and oddly shaped rocks. A lot of tourists
come here to appreciate the unique reflection of the Hill in
the Lijiang River and Xiaodong River.
